A heart divided between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean and the dream of healing this wound is the description of the motivation and vision of the Islas del Mar project, founded by the Spanish Isabel Vera< /b>, originally from the Canary archipelago.
Islas del Mar Project aims to unite the island diversity, culture, history, archeology and traditions of the islands, to transform them in models of discovery, learning, discussion, from which a real intercultural exchange arises. This discovery of the other offers the opportunity to get to know ourselves better, promoting our emotional well-being and individual enrichment.
Before promoting the territory, however, it is necessary to know it, respect it, love it: in other words, value it. Only then can tourism, a key factor, create truly intercultural exchanges.
The Islas del Mar project is promoted by the EURINSULA association, which aims to enhance the opportunities and reduce the disadvantages deriving from insularity, creating collaborative networks and breaking down the barriers that hinder the growth process of the islands, also favoring the growth of the island citizen, mutual understanding and friendship.
